Camelback Service, Warranty and Fleet

What should I ask an auto-glass company before approving windshield replacement?

Ask about the correct glass, adhesive system, technician procedure, safe-release time, ADAS plan, written price, records and warranty.

The short answer

Start with the vehicle: How was the exact glass selected from the VIN and installed features? Does it carry the required certification marking, and is it compatible with the camera, head-up display, sensors, heating, acoustic layer and other equipment? Ask which adhesive system and current instructions will be used, how the existing mounting surface will be prepared, and what minimum drive-away time applies under the day's conditions.

For a camera-equipped vehicle, ask how the shop determines whether calibration is required, which method applies, where it will be completed and what result documentation you will receive. In Arizona, ADAS work must be itemized, performed to the vehicle manufacturer's specifications and accompanied by written notice if calibration fails or is not performed. Also request a complete written price, verified insurance terms if applicable, the technician or responsible business identity, glass and adhesive traceability, aftercare instructions and the full warranty. Avoid choosing solely from a cash incentive, generic lifetime language or an unsupported statement that every cost is covered. A trustworthy provider should answer vehicle-specific questions and identify what still needs verification.
