The short answer
Sometimes, but the answer must be vehicle-specific. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 205 requires glazing intended for aftermarket replacement to meet its glazing requirements, and the manufacturer certifies compliance through required markings. Arizona's ADAS law does not limit a facility to glass, tools or procedures recommended by the vehicle manufacturer, but any recalibration performed must meet or exceed the manufacturer's specifications.
The ANSI replacement standard also calls for glass compatible with the ADAS affected by the replacement. Those rules do not prove every aftermarket windshield is identical to original equipment or suitable for every camera system. Some manufacturers publish stricter instructions; Honda, for example, warns for certain models that an aftermarket windshield may cause abnormal camera operation and recommends genuine glass. Ask which part will be installed, why it is compatible, what the manufacturer requires and whether the completed system will be documented as successfully calibrated.
