The short answer
For an ADAS-equipped vehicle, an Arizona auto-glass facility conducting glass repair, replacement or recalibration must tell the customer whether recalibration is required. If recalibration will be performed, the facility must also explain that it must meet or exceed the vehicle manufacturer's specifications. The shop must provide an itemized description of the work to be done.
The facility may not represent that the glass or recalibration will be paid entirely by insurance with no customer cost unless the policy actually provides that coverage. These duties apply even when the glass work feels routine because cameras and sensors may not be obvious. The law does not say every vehicle requires calibration or every glass shop must provide it. It requires an informed, documented process and manufacturer-specification results whenever calibration is performed. Ask these questions before authorizing the job, not after the windshield has already been removed.
