ADAS and Windshield Calibration

What proof should I receive after ADAS calibration?

Keep a vehicle-specific calibration outcome with the itemized work order rather than relying on a verbal statement.

The short answer

Ask for an itemized work order and a calibration outcome tied to your vehicle. A useful record should identify the VIN, date, affected system, procedure or equipment used, and whether every manufacturer-required step completed successfully. If pre-service or post-service diagnostic scans were performed, the report can identify relevant fault codes and their status, but a scan is not automatically the same as camera calibration.

Arizona law requires written or electronic notice to the customer and insurer when recalibration was not performed or did not succeed. The voluntary ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS standard says a provider performing calibration should use proper equipment and trained personnel, provide the outcome to the owner, and retain glass-replacement and related calibration records for at least three years. A verbal statement that there are no warning lights is less useful than a vehicle-specific result. Keep the report with the invoice and vehicle service records.
