Possibly. ROLAGS defines a crack longer than 6 inches as a long crack and lists 14 inches as the maximum repairable crack length. That does not mean every 14-inch crack should be repaired. Its origin, route, depth, cleanliness, proximity to the glass edge, position in the driver's view, and effect on embedded or attached technology all matter.
A stress crack, which begins at an edge without an impact point, should not be repaired under ROLAGS. Replacement is also recommended when an edge crack intersects more than one edge, the damage reaches both layers, contamination cannot be removed, or the repair could interfere with proper vehicle operation. Repair-system instructions or vehicle-manufacturer procedures may impose additional limits. Because a crack may extend or accumulate contamination during normal use, Phoenix drivers should arrange an in-person evaluation promptly instead of treating the 14-inch figure as a do-it-yourself decision rule.
